Methods of Voting

1. Voting on Election Day: The individual can go to his/her designated voting location on Election Day to cast a ballot.

2. Absentee Voting: People can request an absentee ballot (or vote at the courthouse) right up to election day. The only restriction is that the Election Office won't mail out applications from the Thursday before the election until the election because there's not enough turn around time to get things back and forth in the mail. They also stop mailing out ballots themselves the Friday before for the same reason. HOWEVER, folks can bring their application down to the Elections office and vote right there.
3. Early Voting: At least 30 days prior to an election, ballots will be available in the Administration Building (215 S. 4th Street, right inside the front door). Registered voters can come any time during business hours and either complete the ballot immediately, or take it away to mail in later.

For an Absentee Ballot apply at the Election Office or go to Elections Department website, print the form, fill it out, and mail it in with your signature to the Elections Office 75 days prior to an election and ending at noon the day before the election.
